Zach Hill
Zach Hill-Face Tat
One of the best drummers alive. Solo album. Some of his best work.

Hella-Church Gone Wild
Under the "Hella" monicker but in fact it's a solo album by Hill. Some of the more progressive (and frustrating) music I've heard these days.

Chll Pll-Aggressively Humble
Great duo, with some of Zach's more subdued drumming. Still very impressive.
The Ladies- They Mean Us
Zach meets with the lead from Pinback. Great. Some of his chillest stuff.

Bygones-By
Zach meets with the guy from Tera Melos. Also fantastic. Wonderfully technical and melodic.

Some Writing 2/20/11
I identify with poor women, forced to row the sea
of warm water, soaking sweetly in the bathtub
before they slap their husbands around
like victims.
There are few things in life one can truly enjoy without noticing something else, sneaking, unsettling, just beneath the surface.
almost everytime
more gangsters show up.

Neighbors-January
This is the work of Evan McDermott and Arlo Brooks. They are a couple guys based in Ashland, Oregon, recording experimental improvisational music independently, using guitars, keyboards, vocals, computers, samplers, loopers, you name it. This is their first release, made available to the public on January 29th, 2011. It was recorded in three weeks over the course of several extended jams and sparse editing.
